Inspired by Mies van der Rohe's philosophy that "less is more," and by a personal longing for a simpler life, A World Less Complicated continues my exploration of reduction. Rather than describing every detail, these works seek the essential, revealing how less information can create more room for recognition, emotion, and reflection. They imagine a world less complicated by visual excess, where meaning emerges not through abundance, but through what is intentionally left behind.
Many in this series were created during an artist residency in Crete, Greece.
