My work begins with the shapes—simple and complex—that surface in the uneventful moments of daily life. These fleeting fragments often pass unnoticed, yet when held onto, they reveal the quiet pleasures that ground me and remind me of life’s beauty. In their forms, I find reflections of myself and metaphors for my feelings. Through fabric and thread—layered, machine stitched, and hand-sewn—I translate these fragments into textile paintings, capturing them not only as observed compositions but as resonant symbols addressing the beauty of diversity, the equality of sexual orientation, the rising boundaries within our social landscape, and the enduring human need for connection and community.
