In creating my work, I memorialize observed compositions. In their details, precision, and point of view, they offer up simple, passing moments of life for appreciation, giving these moments value. I rebuild these discovered moments, turning them into something I call textile paintings, by piecing together fabric and paper stitching everything down with thread.

Shapes, simple and complex, reveal the commonality of our days and recognize, in their forms, the pleasure of the uneventful events of life. Those segments of being are so fleeting we often miss them, and yet so rewarding when we notice them. They form my daily world and ground me, reminding me of all the beauty life has to offer.
